BY TIMOTHY MATHER

I called to her soul, and she to mine

We each called out to the other

For a love ordained by the God and Goddess

I was thunderstruck by the woman who came into my life

I gazed into her eyes, mesmerized by their violet beauty

As our eyes met, our twin flames ignited into one common soul

Our twin soul increased wisdom and balance

She showed me compassion and simple joy

I saw the reflection of the Divine in her eyes

And she brought heaven down to earth

She was my friend, Anam Cara, muse, and lover

She taught me gentleness and kindness

She instilled within me confidence and leadership

We learned about passion, sensuality and love

Now she has crossed over to the summer lands

And I am lost and in despair.

We planted a tree for You, and I sat down to reflect

I smell the beauty of lilac, and I am immediately transported to that moment when our eyes locked on to one another and I smelled your perfume it was eternal love all over again.

Suddenly a bee landed in the palm of my hand, your totem animal and I felt the fearlessness of your Spirit.

I saw a deer in the woods, and it reminded me of the many times you encouraged me to trust my instincts and embrace my gentle nature.

I see the mighty Oaks in the yard, and it reminds me of your strength and flexibility

I see a salmon in Ontario and you teach me how to get in touch with your Spirit through ancestral knowledge and wisdom.

I see a dolphin at the Outer Banks, and you remind me of harmony, and recognizing and balancing the rhythms of life, body, mind, and Spirit.

Twenty-six times we danced around the Maypole and jumped the broom renewing our love and sensuality.

I see you in the cardinal bringing your spirit to watch over me. I see your true beauty as Spirit.

When I look at the laughing Buddha in our garden I think of the peace and contentment that was our life and I’m at peace.

When I see the beautiful bright sun flowers I am reminded of your generosity to all in body mind and Spirit and I know you are a guardian Angel for me.

Through all these things I see the reflection of the Divine in your eyes and spirit and I know that you are not gone, only transformed and I smile.
