The Christmas Puzzle

The Christmas Puzzle

By Amanda Pizzolatto

Oh Christmas road, oh Christmas road, how bittersweet is your dusty path,

How weary each and every one will be,

Yet for our home we pay this small fee .

Oh Christmas road, oh Christmas road, how bittersweet is your dusty path.

Oh Christmas town, oh Christmas town, you look so quiet and peaceful,

The Lord has come for His people to meet,

Yet no came to the door to greet.

Oh Christmas town, oh Christmas town, you look so quiet and peaceful.

Oh Christmas Eve, oh Christmas Eve, how eagerly you are waiting.

The Lord’s coming looms ever near,

The Creator of all that we hold dear.

Oh Christmas Eve, oh Christmas Eve, how eagerly you are waiting.

Oh Christmas shed, oh Christmas shed, what a glorious sight you will see,

Whether made of wood or a deep, dark cave.

You house the One who has come to save.

Oh Christmas shed, oh Christmas shed, what a glorious sight you will see.

Oh Christmas crib, oh Christmas crib, what a special privilege you were blessed to have

From you food to animals was given,

And now you carry the Bread of Heaven.

Oh Christmas crib, oh Christmas crib, what a special privilege you were blessed to have.

Oh Christmas lights, oh Christmas lights, how bright you shone on this holy night

While others slept through the glorious event,

You kept a watchful eye on the Heavenly sent.

Oh Christmas lights, oh Christmas lights, how bright you shone on this holy night.

Oh Christmas choir, oh Christmas choir, with Heavenly voices raised on high,

You gave shepherds quite a fright,

But reassured them that it’s alright.

Oh Christmas choir, oh Christmas choir, with Heavenly voices raised on high.

Oh Christmas song, oh Christmas song, oh how you echo over the countryside ,

Oh what joyous news you bring,

Announcing the arrival of the newborn King.

Oh Christmas song, oh Christmas song, oh how you echo over the countryside.

Oh Christmas cloth, oh Christmas cloth, you were the first wrapping

For the sign the shepherds were told,

To find the child asleep in your fold.

Oh Christmas cloth, oh Christmas cloth, you were the first wrapping.

Oh Christmas star, oh Christmas star, no other star shone as brightly

Yet another sign the King is here.

You shone strong for a couple of years.

Oh Christmas star, oh Christmas star, no other star shone as brightly.

Oh Christmas kings, oh Christmas kings, you traversed far from the East

With the fruition of a prophecy of old,

Bearing myrrh, frankincense and gold.

Oh Christmas kings, oh Christmas kings, you traversed far from the East.

Oh Christmas play, oh Christmas play, you are but the beginning of the story

For as the years go flying by,

The child will have to pay a price so high.

Oh Christmas play, oh Christmas play, you are but the beginning of the story.
