He Is Risen!

He Is Risen!

He is risen, He is risen!

Hallelujah, hallelujah!

Come and bask in the glory of the King

For He is risen, Hallelujah!

 –

Can you believe only three days before

He fulfilled the prophecies of yore?

Hit and mocked and crowned with thorns

Raised to die on the cross forlorn

His friends took Him down and did their best

To help his mother lay Him to rest.

 –

But now . . .

 –

He is risen, He is risen!

Hallelujah, hallelujah!

Come and bask in the glory of the King

For He is risen, Hallelujah!

 –

Did He not say that He would rise again?

Fears and doubts proved all in vain

As they rushed to the tomb just to see

Only staring in shock to find it empty

Along with the sun that morning in spring

Came choirs of angels to herald the king!

 –

He is risen, He is risen!

Hallelujah, hallelujah!

Come and bask in the glory of the King

For He is risen, Hallelujah!

 –

The world is bathed in a glorious light

Over and done is the long, long night

The world is cleansed by the waters of grace

Each soul imprinted with Christ’s Face

Like the veil Veronica did hold

Making us each a part of His fold

 –

He is risen, He is risen!

Hallelujah, hallelujah!

Come and bask in the glory of the King

For He is risen, Hallelujah!

 –

The world is remade fresh and new

Like a spring morning sprinkled with dew

Warming up with the morning rays

Oh, oh, what a glorious day!

What joy to be alive and free,

Unchained from Satan’s tyranny!

 –

He is risen, He is risen!

Hallelujah, hallelujah!

Come and bask in the glory of the King

For He is risen, Hallelujah!

 –

He has risen, He has risen!

Hallelujah, hallelujah!

Come and pay homage to our Savior and King

For He has risen, Hallelujah!
