Meet the Staff

Avellina Balestri, Editor-in-Chief 

Avellina Balestri is a Catholic author and editor based in the historic borderlands of Maryland and Pennsylvania. Her stories, poems, and essays have been featured in over thirty print and online publications, and she is currently writing a series of historical fiction novels retelling the legend of Robin Hood. She was a founding member of Expressions in 2012 and became Editor-in-Chief of The Fellowship of The King in 2015. She continues to hold that position following the merge with Ink & Fairydust, which created Fellowship & Fairydust in 2017. Under its auspices, she hosted a literary conference at Lady Margaret Hall in Oxford University, commemorating the literary legacy of J.R.R. Tolkien. Her other hobbies include listening to and performing folk music, watching and reviewing classic films, communicating with an array of international contacts.

Wesley Hutchins, Managing Editor

Wesley Hutchins is a native and resident of Savannah, Georgia, and a 2012 graduate of the University of Georgia. He is an Eagle Scout, and hails from a Methodist and Pentecostal religious background. He became involved with The Fellowship of The King in 2014 as a guest writer and served in archival and technical roles during the merge with Ink & Fairydust, until his promotion to Managing Editor of Fellowship & Fairydust in 2020. He counts history, sports, current events, politics, economics, and ocean liners among his varied interests. He also enjoys a wide range of music, including classical, jazz, and film/TV soundtracks, and has played percussion instruments, piano, trombone, and saxophone. Wesley is currently writing a series of historical fiction novels about a forbidden interracial romance set in the Antebellum South.

Sean Earner, Assistant Editor

Sean is a Roman Catholic elementary educator from Northern Virginia.  His passions include history, philosophy, theology, and literature. He counts among his favorite authors Roberto Calasso, Joseph Roth, Claudel, Rimbaud, Whitman, and Leopoldo Alas. His favorite theologians include Kierkegaard, John Henry Newman, and Garrigou-Lagrange. Regarding philosophy, he has a special interest in Alasdair Macintyre, Charles Taylor, and Ernst Cassirer. His independent studies also span the theoretical-practical systems of the Hellenistic era/late antiquity: Neo-Platonism, Epicureanism, and, above all Stoicism. He has written essays in the past on subjects as various as the War on Syria and antebellum legal theory. He joined Fellowship & Fairydust in 2019 in the capacity of Assistant Editor.

Ian Inkster, YouTube Team

Ian Inkster is a university graduate from Edinburgh, Scotland. He works as communications consultant and takes a special interest in philosophy, philology, and polyglottary. In literature, he has a fondness for George Orwell, William Golding, P.G. Wodehouse, and Mark Twain. In addition to these influences, J.R.R. Tolkien’s linguistic explorations inspired him to compile a thesaurus of “Anglish” online. He helps out on F&F as a graphics designer and YouTuber.

Amanda Pizzolatto, Content Poster 

Amanda Pizzolatto is a Roman Catholic who resides in rosy Whitehouse, Texas in a quiet neighborhood to get her thinking, and daydreaming, in order to write well-rounded stories. She’s hoping to have some wonderful books published in the near future, like of a girl who lives in a magical land who never ages or of a boy who gets sucked into games where being in a wheelchair isn’t a setback, but in the meantime, working on fanfiction and short stories to get better in her craft. Right now she’s getting writing done when she’s not working, reading, watching some TV and movies, and daydreaming about all the stories she still wants to write while listening to some of her favorite music, some of which can not only be found on Fellowship & Fairydust, but also on Wattpad, Archive of Our Own, and Fanfiction.net under her pseudonym Aurora Mandeville.

Hannah Skipper, Content Poster

Hannah Skipper hails from central Florida where she lives with her family and assortment of animals. She has been writing Fanfiction for the better part of a decade under the pen name Violets and Lilies. Her interests include writing, reading, sports, history, and hiking through the great outdoors. She joined the F&F staff a couple years ago and now serves as a creative writer, proofreader, editor, and content poster.

Jamison Noenickx, Content Poster

Jamison Noenickx finds his humble home in the Arizona desert. His talents are on the mathematical side, but he finds time outside of his day job to learn that there is more to life than equations. Jamison enjoys being a supporting member of F&F in order to help others tell their stories, spends his spare moments reading or writing for personal enjoyment, and attends poetry readings at his local poetry group. He is a nondenominational Christian who grounds himself in the Catholicism of his youth, while valuing the freedom to asks questions and explore out of the box ideas. He loves inter-religious dialogue as a way to engage with others respectfully, while staying true to his belief in the Incarnation of Jesus, the Prince of Peace. His Christian spirituality has been influenced by many voices, including Ignatius of Loyola, J.R.R. Tolkien, but most of all, George MacDonald.

Jo hails from the North-West of England. She is a qualified copy editor and proofreader and has been writing creatively from an early age. She has poetry pages on both Facebook and Instagram and is currently writing a Robin Hood fan fiction trilogy. She is hoping to publish a book of poetry next year. Books are her passion, and her ambition is to become a published fiction author. She is joining the Fellowship & Fairydust team as editor and proofreader.
