Above a little stable,
A star shines bright
Never before has any seen
Such a glorious sight.
Wise men and Shepherds
Walk mile after mile,
A drummer boy travels
To gift a smile.
A heavenly chorus
Of angels fills the sky,
Singing, proclaiming
“Glory, Glory to God on high.”
Sleeping softly in
A manger bed
Lies little Lord Jesus,
A halo around His head.
Mary and Joseph
Rest by His side,
While Heaven rejoices
At this love magnified.
God smiles down
On His humble son,
Sent to save
Everyone.
What a beautiful testament to that glorious silent night! I have always loved the paradox of Christmas, how the Lord of the Universe came into this world as a helpless infant…and yet all the same he was “Love Magnified” beyond all comprehension. Thank you for sharing, Hannah-Bird!
