I am the gentle caress of the spring rain
I am the reflection of a pond
I am the ebb and flow of the tide revealing hidden treasures
I am the crest of the ninth wave
I am the enchanting call of the sea
I am the bubbling joy of the stream
I am the flowing course of life like the winding of the river
I am a playful leap into a puddle
I am a well of introspection
I am fresh dew on a summer’s morn
I cleanse away the weariness of life
I am tears of sorrow and of joy
I am the energy of a thunderstorm
I am the fury of the deep
I quench the thirst for knowledge
I am the life blood of the earth
I am Boann and MacLir
I am Water
Well done, Tim! This is another beautiful poem in the Celtic tradition, exploring the many moods of nature and the spirituality to be found therein. Water, as one of the four elements, has always had an important role to play in global mythology, and as a Christian, I also identify the sanctifying power of Holy Water as used in the Sacrament of Baptism and other blessings. The Celtic Christian saints also made it common practice to pray in or near bodies of water, for they felt the presence of God most keenly there.
Lovely verse of the blessings of water!
Beautiful indeed ❤
We need a little more mystical waters and a whole lot less flood waters here in the Northwest; but the poem was beautiful.
Very well written.
Surprised to see this is a Cathololic site!
Well, Catholic does mean universal, and it is my understanding of the Catholic faith that we are to appreciate elements of truth and beauty wherever they may be found and whoever may present them.
Sorry, do not see Catholicism, relevant to Druidry! Ive seen people distroyed by it.
The content of the poem actually has relevence to anyone with an appreciation for the spiritual quality of nature and the element of water, Druid, Catholic, or otherwise. And there are many happy, healthy Catholics quite right in the head and with open minds and hearts who appreciate various ways of explaining a given reality in the diversity of cultures and traditions that make up our world.
The poem was written in Druidic style as of taliesin or things in that way of nine. We all see and feel from our own perspectives and that they are ours. May we all see and feel the worth from center.
I quite agree Rosaria – beauty and wisdom for all who have eyes open enough to see. Thank you for posting.
Beautiful ❤ thank you!
Really Beautiful, loved it.
Thank You you all for your kind words
Beautiful, Tim…<3
Very nice.
I particularly liked that poem, and will use it as the basis of a series of daily meditations 🙂
❤ Nice!
Really liked the content of Mystical Waters. Lovely fluidity in words used. Well done.
This is heavily influenced by Taliesin-esque poems.
