I think I
Once held the stars in my hands
And floated by the galaxies
And raced across the winds.
I think I
Once burned within the sun
And showered earth with rain
And chose to suffer pain
I think I
Once loved so long ago,
And roses bloomed in me
And turned the worlds to spring
I think I
Once filled the storms with anger
And grew within the trees
And had the sting of bees
I think I
Once died and became new,
And eternity was too brief
And forever not too long
Hey, Phoenix!
What an appropriate peice for the emergence of spring in all its natural splendor! I am intrigued by the perspective…who/what is it that is speaking in the poem? I think it has a rather Celtic feel to it! Most unique! 🙂
Beautiful.
Really a beautiful poem.
Never seen a blue phoenix before, heh…I thought they were made of fire!
Blue fire…I guess? 😉
Even hotter! 😉
Lovely and unusual! ❤
