Old Mister Snow

Old Mister Snow

Summary: A short poem about snow.

When snow first visited we welcomed him
With winter songs and childlike wonderment
His first flakes swirled about in a merry dance
And covered the dreary autumn leaves with light

And now it’s time for snow to go away
But he hangs around, shabbier each day
Lurking along the fence rows looking sad
Promising to catch the bus tomorrow

When snow first visited we welcomed him
But even as days grow bright, Mister Snow grows dim
