Summary: A brief biography of DC Comics’ the Question

Good morning, ladies and gentlemen. This is your humble comic expert, Ian Wilson, here to bring you yet another Superhero Sunday. This week, I’ll be exploring the Question.

Unlike other superheroes, the Questions wasn’t created by tragedy; no one killed his parents, or girlfriend, or anything of the kind. He doesn’t even have any real powers, other than the ability to find connections. Vic Sage, investigative reporter, is simply on a constant quest for the truth. He walks the streets of Hub City, ferreting out it’s corruption and bringing those responsible to justice. His relentless search for truth drove him to don a skin-like mask to conceal his identity and take up the title of the Question.

The Question’s search for truth has sometimes gone in some rather strange directions. He can be paranoid; even delusional at times. He sometimes sees conspiracies where none exist, but doesn’t let that sidetrack him from his real mission of finding corruption and noising it abroad.

The Question was created by comic artist and writer Steve Ditko, and first appeared in Blue Beetle #1 in 1967.
