Swan and Dragon

Swan and Dragon

Swan and dragon

Water and flame

Grace and fierceness

Fair yet untamed

Wings like the snow

Breath like the sun

Blessing and curse

Welded in one

Bird-like voice

And swan-like lyre

Lizard’s eyes

And darts of fire

Harp-string’s note

And bowstring’s twang

Softest feathers

Keenest fangs

Shape-shifting queen

Warrior’s child

Swans glide calmly

Dragons fly wild

Near lakeside born

In mountains taught

With mercy ruled

And vengeance fought

Rainbow’s virgin

Sapphire’s queen

Moan at sunset

Monster’s scream

Lead them, Lady

Upon the wall

Let them never

See thee fall

You are their beauty

And their ire

You are cool drink

And scorching fire
