Dream Voyagers

Dream Voyagers

‘Neath star-shine and moon-glow’s touch, the Ship of Dreams sails on.
Its destination, only by believers, is well known.
Its port, The Land of Faery, at edge of Evermore.
You travel to adventure, when you step, upon that shore.
Above the sound of wind and wave, the sweet-voiced sirens call.
But if you cover not, your ears, you won’t arrive, at all.
For sirens have a way with song, to pull you to the deep,
And when you follow siren’s voice, then you are theirs, to keep.
So cover well, your ears, and pass, as quickly as you may;
Across the ocean’s briny depths, and steady, on your way.
Beneath that diamond-studded sky, your heart will lead you on,
Until you reach that fabled shore, where magic makes its home.
And when the shore comes into sight, and into cove, you dock,
Forget about your calendars; and do not trust your clocks.
For time, in world of Faery, is measured differently.
Just step ashore, and think no more, of what date, it might be.
The gem-strewn path you traverse then, though night, will have a glow,
That leads you on, through woods and glades, where first of fae, you’ll know.
Amongst the ferns and heather, there, shine watching eyes, blue-grey,
A host of Pixies take note, as you pass, along your way.
Now fairies lightly perch upon your shoulders, with chimed laughter,
And stare into your eyes, to see, just what it is, you’re after.
If judged a being, well-intentioned, and sweet-tempered, too,
Then only happiness and joy will soon accrue, to you.
But woe to he who comes to harm, or steal, or play them false,
For all his plans will come to naught, and great will be his loss.
So come and dance in fairy rings, with the enchanting fae,
All ye, who wish them naught but good, and grand will be your stay!
