Summary: The poet yearns for the simple life of a Hallmark movie character
I wish I lived in a Hallmark movie
My life would be so grand
I’d have my Forever beside me
Always holding my hand
We wouldn’t bother talking of
Politics or religion
All important things we’d agree on
(Because that’s always a given)
We’d find our one big mountain
Perhaps a smaller one too
But we’d get over both somehow
Just by muddling through
And everything would come together,
We’d seal love with a kiss
And pledge our undying love
Because it’d be Christmas
This is so sweet, and a powerful reminder for me because I *did* live in a Hallmark movie. True, it was “Girl meets the love of her life only to discover he has an incurable and fatal illness, married him anyway and cared for him until his death and leans on her faith” Hallmark movie, but I *did* live in a Hallmark movie, nonetheless. And it *was* just as wonderful as you described. So you reminded me how blessed I am! Thank you and God bless you!
