Summary: A poem of the importance of a tiny action
It may feel like a drop in the ocean,
But it is a drop of power.
It is really a drop into a vase,
And in the vase is a flower.
This flower’s a white carnation,
And the vase is only half full.
Every drop is quite important.
What you do now may be crucial.
If the flower’s water is dirty,
You know that you should wait
Until the water is clear again
Before you cultivate.
Once the water is settled,
Ready for something more
You carefully give your drop
To the flower you’re caring for.
The flower may not indicate
That your drop helped it grow
Till unknown time much later
And you may never know
That because of your one little drop,
Red with loving care,
That little white flower turned rosy pink
A shade without compare.
So if you think that all your work
Is one small drop alone,
Remember it takes just one to give
Flowers colors of their own.
