Summary: A relaxing visit to the beach.
waves flatten,
their alter-selves
layer-glaze the shore,
lazy white foam rope
wiggles back and forth,
snapped to powder
beneath the palms,
jade-leaf fingers
to wring a sapphire sea
teal green,
children oiled like wet
seals, burrow
like crazy crabs,
sandpipers skate
slick-sand along
the zeal of light, glide
a sliding horizon,
my window pane prone
to slant pans of sun, a
cross-eyed star in the sky.
