Aberdeen

Aberdeen

Aberdeen, with rolling hills,
a sea stretching for miles,
I keep you in my heart
and think of you and smile.

Your lochs and glens are beautiful.
Your mountains my soul tether;
rolling green and craggy rock,
strewn throughout with coloured heather.

Your coast is stunning, your city shines
with granite sparkling brightly,
that glistens in the warm lamplight,
like sparkling stars do nightly.

How fond I keep you in my mind,
a true home in my heart.
From the first sweet time we met,
in love from the very start.

Balmedie sands, pristine and white.
Dunnottar castle too.
Tyrebagger forest calls to me.
Loch Cairngorm and its view.

So like a city, but ruralized,
this harbour and its charms,
welcomes me, when I return,
with warm and open arms.
