Norway

Norway

Log cabins, skyward plumes of silver smoke
Air so frigid, it steals your breath away
Banks of soft glistening white line the roads
Towering as tall as a full-grown man
The keen thrill of travelling snug, behind
A dashing team of excited sled dogs
Gasping gratefully over a hot stew
Cauldron cooked above a smoking campfire
Glowing red coals, the only light beneath
A star-strewn winter sky where colours dance
A blue-green tapestry, interwoven
Fills the sky above our heads with magic
A once in a lifetime Norwegian trip
One I’d happily relive every year
