The Wonder of Splendor

The Wonder of Splendor

The Wonder of Splendor excites the earth

with colors that clamor, “We are, we are!”

The Wonder of Splendor disturbs the air

with whips of wind that swirl and spar,

The Wonder of Splendor ignites the sphere

when lightning quivers the heavens ajar,

The Wonder of Splendor—It curbs the orbs

to bathe in rivers of a galaxy-star,

Its sun, a rainbow’s gilded comb,

never the same, never the same,

Its moon, asleep and always to roam,

never the same, never the same,

Its ocean unravels in crowns of foam,

never the same, never the same,

Its canyon chants from tombs of loam,

never the same, never the same,

And we, Infinity’s flames to fete!

Never regret, never regret,

And we, Divinity’s love to let,

Never forget, never forget.
